I was in London today to renew my LO’s passport. So, I took the opportunity to pass by Harrods since it was the closest department store near the Spanish embassy. Since I was with a tired, hungry 3 yr-old and I still had a 1 1/2 to 2 hr drive back, I decided to quickly browse through their bag department after lunch. First I looked at the Valextra bag – and, you’re right. I still like the bag because it is so well-made BUT the design is kind of blah.
Then I saw the most gorgeous shade of red from the Bottega store. I’m not a big fan of the Bottega weave (mostly because it’s been copied left right and centre – although obviously not to the same quality). BUT the Veneta hobo in uluru red almost came home with me except I wanted a medium and they only had large and small.
The Tornabuoni veneta in uluru red is also lovely (a bit more structured because of the double twisted strips of leather) so next time I’m in london (in ten days to pick up the passport) I will put the two side by side and compare.

If we’re going to do the walk, we better learn the talk… In fear of sounding like an idiot as I read through all the different styles, colors, etc. I realized I wasn’t even sure about how to pronounce “Massai” corectly. Good thing I found this link….and this is the correct pronunciation of Massai (mah-say).

I have been trying to get out of my PMD (post marathon depression) and in the process, I have become addicted to watching items on ebay. A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a beautiful full leather Hermés clutch. It was in pristine condition, starting bid was at $1000, the “buy it now” bid was at $1495. My bid of $1100 did not reach the seller’s reserve but I wasn’t planning on going any higher. When the bid ended, I was contacted by the seller for a second chance. He told me his wife was willing to let it go at my bid price
So, after consulting someone about it’s authenticity… Voila, please welcome my Hermés Jige Elan Clutch in Gold – Epsom leather:
Fresh from her trip care of Johnny Air… in less than 10 days, she arrived safe and sound. Truthfully, I don’t know if I would want to pay full price for a clutch at almost $3000, so this works perfectly for me — it is barely used, there are some very (extremely faint) scratches inside but only noticeable when you look at it from 2 inches away — it is gorgeous and I am so happy. I scored a great deal!
I do need to snap out of my PMD before I go broke

We got invited to the launch of Havaianas’ “surprise new line”… of all days for me to get sick – so hub went alone and he couldn’t claim my giveaway! :-(

Hub got a “sacks” but in black – like a messenger bag but the strap is made out of the havaianas rubber strap…
I should have known better… the invite had a bag holder and it said to make sure I bring it with me…
I wonder what I would have gotten as a freebie… sigh… hub was nice and gave me his bag (not like he was going to carry it around anyway )
Explanations later… do you like this print… deciding on something. I like it but I’m wondering if I should get something not too “hot” (since it’s all orange, red and yellow tones).

I am in LOVE with these Prada wedge ankle boots – they have got to be the most comfortable boots I’ve ever owned. Even after running 42k, I could still walk in them.
